Getting Cstuom Dog Portraits Made

By Jody Leach

Most people see their dogs as a part of the family not just a pet. It is actually pretty common for people to have custom dog portraits done of their dogs. People always get portraits done of their kids and themselves. When you have a dog that is part of the family then why wouldn't you add him or her into the family portrait?

You can choose to add your dog to the portrait with your whole family or you can do one of the dog by himself. You could also do it both ways if you wanted. You can even find photographers that only take portraits of pets. You can hire them to take any type of portrait you want of your pet.

Some people like to dress their pups in cute outfits but you don't have to, it's completely up to you. You can choose the background that the portrait is taken on. If your doing it in a studio or in your home and you are using a backdrop you want to pick one that will look good with your dogs natural coloring. You can also choose to do the picture in a natural setting like outside or somewhere in your home without a backdrop.

If your dog has a toy that he loves and carries every where with him then you should have his toy in the portrait with him. If your dog is the type of dog that enjoys running and playing outdoors then you should get a portrait of him outdoors.

Just like with people you want to capture who they are, dogs have different personalities just like people do. A dog can be loving, grumpy, silly, or stingy. They all have their own personality and you want that to show in their portrait. Pet photographers spend their whole professional life learning how to get the perfect portrait of animals that will show who that animal really is.

If you have a four legged friend that has passed away but you still would like a picture to hang up of them to remember them by you can find someone that is able to paint portraits from a picture and have a beautiful hand painted canvas portrait of your deceased dog. Dogs are more than just pets, they are our friends and companions. So when they are gone we miss them just like we would a human friend.

You do not want to forget your pets that have passed away and you can remember them by having a portrait done of them. If you did not get a portrait of them before their death there are people that can look at a picture and hand paint a portrait just from a photograph. Try your best to have a portrait made before it is too late and your dog is gone.

A great way to keep a hold of your memories is to have custom portraits done. Most people will have a portrait done of their family, but some people do not think to have their pets added to it. If you have a dog that is a member of your family then you should add that four legged family member in the portrait. If you have two or more dogs you can have a portrait done with all the dogs together, or do them all separately or just add them all to the one with the family.
