For Protection: Cat Claw Covers

By Kelley Widen

Having pets around a house can be very exciting. It's great to have a pet because you can enjoy looking at them, just playing with them. You can also have them around for company when you're sad and lonely.

So perhaps not all the pets you may have in your home can give you great company. Snakes and spiders, for example, are not exactly what you would consider the most comforting animal. But then again, I could be wrong.

How the main fact is that having pets bring a new light and energy to the home; especially when it comes to cats and dogs. These lovable animals are great to have around, and can give a sense of completion to a family.

I want to particularly talk about cats in this article. Cats are definitely a great house pet. They are clean, small, and handy. You don't need to worry about constantly training them in terms of where they should urinate or expel their feces. All you need to do is put in that litter box, give them a brief training, and they just seem to get it right away.

Having a cat can be a lot of fun, especially since you can carry them and take them anywhere. For those of you who love cats, the love you show your cats, can't be denied. However, I also know you love the furniture in your home.

Basically cats and kittens have the desire to scratch almost anything they sink their claws into. Your carpet couches, and other home furnishes fall victim to its claws. You may also be a victim to their scratching if they are not comfortable or upset with you.

So what is there to do in situations such as this? Other has said that a good solution would be to have your cat declawed. However, I must strongly object even now, because taking their claws would mean taking it for life. Cats were born with claws for reason, just like how a person is born with finger nails. There is a good reason why cats have claws in the first place, so we shouldn't the ones to take it from them.

Cats use their claws whenever they need to defend themselves for whatever circumstance may come. So the better alternative to declawing them would be to buy them cat claw covers.

These claw covers will keep your kittens and cats from scratching your home furnishings, yet at the same time make sure that it doesn't interfere with the regular usage of their claws. It is also easy to apply.
