Honoring a Cherished Pet : Choices to Disposal and Funeral

By Sachin Kumar Airan

Pets are often counted as a full member of many families : they're the daft clowns that cheer us up when we are downcast, our supporter and the keeper of our methods, and the unswerving guardians who warn us when danger is near. They're companions to the lonely and old and the best mate to many a child. Sadly , though, our furry friends live much shorter lives than their human pals and when the time is right to say goodbye, it is so hard to make the choices that must definitely be made with regard to the pet's physical remains.

In the past, many families have buried their cherished dog or cat on the family property, but in many states, this is now illegal due to health and safety laws re the contamination of underground water. A burial at a pet cemetery can be very costly, particularly for an owner who is handling the cost of their pet's final medical bills. Nevertheless there are now other options, such as Passage urns and discount ash containers which will permit any owner to disperse their pet's ashes safely and legally.

Passage urns are the perfect alternative to burying a dead pet or permitting one's vet to release it to the local landfill, which many owners cannot bear to understand. The urns make allowance for the safe and sanitary burial of a pet's ashes after the body is cremated, allowing it to be buried at any location.

This choice is very safe for the environment because once this urn is buried, it breaks down naturally and revisits the earth due to the fact that it's made of organic and re-usable material. This way, animal owners can be certain that they are letting their steadfast pals rest in the safest yet the most respectful way achievable. For owners who want to inter their dog or cat on their property but are faced with local rules and laws, this is a great alternative.

Since burial can be costly and many owners are faced with the price of last costs, including the cremation, which can cost anywhere from a hundred to 200 dollars, depending on the size of the animal, looking into discount urns is also an option. While these urns are affordable, they are also stylish and unique, and in some places, owners can have their pet cremated and placed into the urn all for one price, which is very useful for owners who are grieving hard and simply need their animal's last arrangements handled for them.

Discount urns come in all different sizes and styles, and many can be engraved with the pet's name for an additional charge. An owner's vet may be able to suggest where it's possible to find these urns or they can search on the net, where many options are going to be available at a cost that will suit anyone's budget. It isn't straightforward to say goodbye to a valued pet, but with Passage urns and discount urns, they can be laid to rest with all of the love and respect that they deserve.
