Reasons Why Round Bale Hay Net Is Perfect For Horse Feeding

By Iva Cannon

In order to continue operations in an animal farm, farmers need to come up with different feeding ideas without sacrificing the health of their animals. They need to come up with cost effective plans so that they will save money, time, and energy. If they are able to do this, the costs of overall operations will significantly decrease while increasing sales and production. There are already inventions these days necessary to make this possible.

Horses need to be taken care of. They have to be cleaned and given proper hygiene, proper diet, and the right conditioning, Hence, they need to be able to run around and be free. Round bale hay net is an effective solution to feeding the horses. They like to feed on hay on large volumes causing the supply to lessen in just a short period of time.

Using the nets, they will be able to save energy, time, and money. The horses will have enough feed for twenty four hours approximately. This is so because they will not be able to take large amounts of hay if there are nets. Hence, choking is also prevented and they will not be at risk. Moreover, this will lessen eye injuries and will give other equines equal chances in getting just enough hay to feed on.

They will slowly consume the hays fed to them because the net serves as a controller. Some horses like to get more than enough but they are just wasting them in the process. So they need this controller to control wastes as well.

If the horses are left alone to choke because of eating too much, they could be seriously affected. Thus, they need to be given only adequate amounts that they can chew. Through this, they will only be allowed to get the right amount gradually instead of taking too much causing a dangerous choke.

Eye injuries are also avoided. These animals usually get eye injuries when they eat their food. They have to stick their heads inside a feeder causing them to get hurt. So this is a safe alternative for them to be safe while eating. If they have problems in the eye, their movements and sense of direction will be affected.

The senior horses will be given the chance to feed just the right amount. They are slow eaters and this mode of feeding is very ideal for them. In addition, this will allow equal distribution of feeds to the animals. It is very important to solve health and safety issues in farm animals to ensure huge returns of investments. One horse is already very expensive especially if it is a good breed, healthy, stealthy, and agile.

The nets are made durably from polyethylene. They are made to be slightly stretchable so that the equines will not have a hard time pulling off a hay. They also have stabilized UVs with strong drawstrings used to tie the net underneath securely. There are smaller holes for the mini equines, ponies, and follies. And there are larger holes for the fully grown equines.

The shapes are round or square. The best way to put them must begin from the top and then down under so that the hays are secured and will not pole out of the holes as much as possible. The small holes are for follies and minis while the bigger holes are for the bigger stallions and adults.
