Basics Of Taking Care Of Shichon Teddy Bear Puppies

By Bernadette Martin

Raising pets is a fancy thought. But unless you are ready to have one, its best to forgo the plan well. Just like buying house or a vehicle, having a pet is an added responsibility. It means that you will have to spend more time with it. Providing for their basic needs like food and shelter is also necessary. And then we have this issue about the specific breed that you will choose.

You have the luxury to choose whatever domestic animal you would like to have. You can have cats, birds, fishes and the like. But if you are interested in having to take care of what is considered as the mans best friend, then dogs should be on top of your list. Shichon teddy bear puppies specifically are part of the most in demand ones because of their temperament.

Before you go ahead and make the purchase though, its best if you get yourself informed first. Even if you are knowledgeable with dogs, it does not automatically mean that you know how to handle shichon. Remember that different breeds have their own temperament. What will work for others may not be as effective when you apply it with a different one.

One thing that is highly notable about teddy bear puppies is the their high social skills. They do not have any problems being with kids and other pets. If you have kids at home and some other pets, then having this breed as an addition will not hurt. In fact, it may add up to the fun that you get.

If you are worried about potentials of allergies, then you will find shichon to be a great pick. Their fur is not prone to shedding just like all other breeds that have thick and shiny fur. The shed off are the usual causes of allergy. Without them on the way, you will not have any serious issues about allergy attacks.

There are times when people mistake them for the Shih Tzu type and that of the Bichon Frise. No wonder. Its because shichon is a combination of both. Its not a purebred. So if you are looking for the general information about its mood and cannot find any, then you can just look up to the two purebreds.

Now that you can already purchase them online, it should not be that difficult to find personalities who sell them. Just be sure that you are dealing with a reliable breeder. If they are certified or recommended by other owners of the dog, then they must really be raising high quality pets on their end.

Apart from the general reminders about their upbringing, you should also be very mindful about the foods that they take in. They can be quite sensitive on this matter. Be sure to know as well about their medical background. If there is a need to have them checked at specific intervals, you should be the first one to know.

Do not go ahead with the buy unless you are sure that you are willing to take on the responsibility. Be prepared by being informed. If you need some tips, go ahead and ask those who own the same breed. You can also read some articles online for more tips and reminders.
