Goldendoodles are breeds of dogs that are considered very lovable. They are the combination of two breeds which are the poodle and the golden retriever. These breeds are known to be trainable, non aggressive, extremely intuitive, intelligent, sociable, and friendly. Their trainability and intelligence are main reasons why they would fit on being the therapy, service, and guide dogs. So maybe now, you are wondering on the difference between service dog and therapy dog.

A therapy dog is trained for providing comfort and providing affection to people in nursing homes, retirement homes, schools, hospitals, hospices, disaster areas, and those having an autism spectrum. These dogs cannot be considered as service dogs, but they can be trained for that purpose to become one. While a service dog will be trained for performing the daily tasks of persons having some disabilities. Usually, most of the people will think that these animal types are only good for those people who have impairment visually. But in recent years, their purposes have already expanded to many areas. There are a lot of benefits in getting these animals, especially for some of your friends and families who have autism. These benefits are proven to be very remarkable. The following are the things to consider importantly.

First are considering on sensory issues. These types of breed are trained only to aid the autistic children, specifically those having problems in their senses. So if a child feels overwhelmed in locations like noisy stores and other crowded places, the dog may help on calming down the child.

However, other things also are needed to be reviewed aside from sensory issues. First is to think if your child has a very sensitive skin when touching rough surfaces like the fur. Second is if your child is very sensitive in hearing loud noises, so be sure that trainers can minimize the barking.

Second are the costs. These dog types are expensive, and this is because of the training services that prepares them for their work. Other useful ways for making funds is approaching some close families and friends to give donations or you may organize an event as a fund raising. Approaching also an organization may help.

Third is knowing what the specific needs of a child are. You must know the specific needs that the child will need so the training will be addressed to that need. Know also the specific trainings for the dog.

And fourth is the home prep. These animals can be considered as super heroes. But still they are dogs and in your homes, you may have to clean and remove the dirt and odor for the protection of your family from the allergies. Also, you will need to buy food for them and pay for the vet. So you must prepare the home because you will really be affected by it.
