By Virginia Roberts

Getting a new puppy is a wonderful experience. Bringing a new little bundle of love into your home is joyful. The first thing that Ohio residents have to decide is where to get their new pup. The best and most responsible way to is to go through reputable French bulldog breeders. When you get a pup from a breeder, your much more likely to get a better dog that is a wonderful representation of the breed.

When you have a breeder helping you, you're not flying blind into the puppy process. These people have a ton of information and wisdom that they're happy to share. Simply put, they love the breed and want to do all that they can to see if flourish, they do so through their breeding practices and education for new owners.

When you walk out the door, the help doesn't stop. Most have a deep love for each and every pup that leaves them. They are generally more than happy to answer questions that come up. Before you even choose a dog you should have a list of questions and get answers to them, but, if you need some help later down the line with anything from training, to choosing a good groomer, most will give you an answer and offer any help they can give.

When you pick your pup up from your breeder you'll get paperwork letting you know that it's been vaccinated and that's its been wormed. This is a bonus that one wouldn't generally get from other people who sell puppies as more of a hobby. This way you know that your canine is off to a good start health-wise.

Genetic health issue concerns are minimized due to the fact that a breeder who loves the breed ensures healthy dogs are bred. A dog with a genetic condition would not be used for breeding purposes by someone who is reputable.

While there are those who would never get a dog that wasn't a rescue, that's not always an option for everyone. Though rescuing is a wonderful thing to do, if you want a certain breed, you may not be able to find it in a shelter. When you know what you want, and nothing else will do, head to your breeder and get just what you are looking for.

A dog's temperament is taken into consideration when it's time to breed. This gives you a better shot at getting a calmer pet than just buying a dog from a classified ad. You never know what you'll get when you go that route, you just have to take your chances and hope for the best.

As you excitedly enter the property of the breeder to pick out your new pet take some time to play with, , cuddle with, and observe all of the litter mates. This lets you get a view into the unique personality of each one. This way, if you want an active, rough and tumble pooch, you can see which fits that criteria, if you want a lap dog that loves to cuddle, you can see which will give you that. This helps ensure that you end up with the best one for your lifestyle.
