Birds Around The World With Signs Of Intelligence

By Candy Crawford

A variety of birds can be found all over the world. Some are wild, some are tamed and some are even used for human consumption. But what humans fail to appreciate is that birds do have their own way of thinking just like other animals or even humans.

Of all of birds around the world, a couple of countries are very lucky to have one of the birds that can be considered as intelligent on their own way.

Some of these birds even interact with humans and one of the candidates to become the best pet you can ever have.

One example is the lovely and talkative African grey parrot. Theses birds have the ability to repeat every word or words they hear regularly. They are also beautiful and friendly birds which make them more desirable as pet.

The lovely African grey parrot has a memory like a recorder. Whatever word it hears, it is able to say it perfectly. They can even imitate the words from television as long as they hear the same words regularly. If you hate someone and you don't like him to come near your door, just teach this bird the right words to drive the enemy away and the bird will do it for you.

Other birds have also their own talent like the tool builders in the name of New Caledonian crows. These birds have extraordinary talent to scout for things and make them useful. Another intelligent bird is the bird from New Zealand, the Kea parrot, which is well known for its ability to solve problems.

Lovely as they can be, they can also create problems to humans; they are intelligent enough to find their way to avoid humans. That is why these birds are always driven away especially in urban areas.

Due to the pleasing characteristics of the above mentioned birds, they are often made as pets. However, before you decide to adopt these exotic birds in your household, consult first your vet for professional advice on how to take care of them.
