Small And Adorable Toy Husky

A smaller version of the Alaskan Husky is called the Alaskan Klee Kai. It looks just as a miniature version of Siberian Husky, and it comes in three size categories, standard, miniature and toy. Toy Husky is the smallest of all, with its height under thirteen inches and its weight under ten pounds.

The breed was developed during seventies. It mainly consists of Siberian and Alaskan Husky, with some parts of American Eskimo. Toy is small enough to live in any apartment, but would appreciate a small yard to play in. These energetic dogs require regular exercise and long walks. This will keep their behavior under control, but it is also really important for their health in general.

Toys shed, and you have to give them a good brush or comb every day. The coat is double and thick, and keeps your puppy warm on low temperatures. It will lost its undercoat during the shedding season, but similar breeds are still sensitive to high temperatures. Make sure not to expose your dog to really high temperatures.

Toy Huskies are playful, intelligent and full of energy. They are always interested in chewing something, and if they don't have some toys, they will find something else to chew, and you won't be very happy about it. They get bored of their old toys quite soon, just like kids. If you want to protect your furniture, you have to give them new toys every once in a while.

Small dogs tend to develop a small dog syndrome, especially if everything is allowed to them. That's why you have to become a pack leader, gentle, but authoritative and consistent. Of course, it isn't an easy task, especially when your pet is so incredibly adorable. But this is simply something that you have to do, because dogs are used to live in packs.

When you decide to buy a dog, make sure to select one respectable breeder. You will get healthy, vaccinated, already socialized puppy. Besides, you can also get different valuable information you might find really useful. Ask about the best food for your dog, about the amount of exercise needed and all other stuff that might interest you. A good breeder will be happy to assist you.

It is also important to find a good vet for your new furry friend. It should be additionally vaccinated and you will have to take it for regular check-ups occasionally. A vet will tell you if there is a need for nutritional supplements or some other treatment. You will also get other important info there. This little puppy is going to be a member of your family, and should be treated as one.

Toys are adorable, funny and energetic little creatures. You will enjoy spending time in their company. They love children and can play with them all day long. If you have a small yard for playing, it will be even better. If not, remember that all dogs, even these small ones, need regular exercise to stay healthy and strong. This particular breed enjoys in really long walks, and this will make good for both of you.
